Greetings, citizens of Earth.

This blog, long-neglected, is about to get a thorough kick in the pants. A good dusting. An open-the-windows-and-let-the-breeze-flow-through infusion.

I may be exaggerating. Just a little.

You see, for 17 months, I’ve been pouring my heart and soul and all my brain juice into my neat little project-cum-all-encompassing-career-choice, OnePeterFive. It’s doing quite well. It’s lovely. You should visit.

But it has eaten up my whole life, and I actually have other things I want to talk about and work on.

As part of my personal development goals for 2016, I am committing myself to one post a week here at the old homepagestead, with a bonus goal of two if I can swing it. Posts about life. About music and food and coffee and wine and booze and trips and beauty and weird things and interesting things and good movies and shows and books and all the other parts of my life that I had all but completely forgotten about to my own detriment.

This will become my other place. The place to talk about everything but religion, since it has become my job to talk about religion. And if you do catch me talking about it here, it’ll be because it’s something I can’t say anywhere else.

I spruced up the blog with a brand new theme. Spared no expense. Still a few kinks to work out, but I think it’s looking nice and light, bright, and clean.

This makes me happy.

The image at the top of this post also makes me happy. It’s a photo of Bora Bora. I don’t even know where Bora Bora is, but if I went there, I would write about that and put it here. Probably not while I’m there, though. Maybe after. While I’m there I would drink coconut-flavored drinks out of real coconut shells and eat as much shellfish as I could roast over an open flame and nap in the sand all day and go swimming when I get bored of sleeping. I have never been on a vacation to anywhere, let alone some place like Bora Bora. I need to add it to the bucket list.

The longest blog-journey begins with a single post, and this is numero uno for 2016. We’ll see if I have another one in me before next week.
